Job summary:
Responsible for Level 2 management and administration of the entire server infrastructure and all system-related technologies. A Level 2 constitutes second-level support, medium to high requirements for troubleshooting, technical solutions and insight, system upgrades and updates, and technical leadership, high-level system administrations and management. They are responsible for supervising and advising system administrators.
Your main tasks
- Provide second level technical support such as technical solutioning and discernments, troubleshooting, mitigations, upgrades, critical updates, fixes and rectifications.
- Handle technical leads, projects, initiatives and mentoring and coaching sessions with systems administrators.
- Ensure standardizations and redundancies are implemented across the server infrastructure.
- Perform tier-2 management and administration of datacenter infrastructure which involves various server technology, server and desktop virtualization infrastructure and storage infrastructure.
- Perform tier-2 management and administration of Microsoft Active Directory Environment which involves Domains, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, DFS, WDS, ADSS, ADUC, ADFS, ADSS and other AD services.
- Perform tier-2 management and administration of regular monthly windows patch of servers and workstations from policy definitions and deployments.
- Perform tier-2 management and administration of communication and collaboration platforms such as email, instant messaging, document collaboration, file share and manage file transfer. Define communications and collaborations policies, rules and traffic flows.
- Perform tier-2 management and administration of data protection which involve enterprise backups, archiving and retentions. Define policies and categorizes, organize endpoint and server profiling.
- Perform tier-2 management and administration of information security which involves endpoint security, multi-factor authentication, certificates, systems logs, data loss prevention, file-integrity monitoring and security compliances such as PCI, SOC2, and other security requirements. Ensure vulnerabilities are addressed and fixed, conduct data investigations and information governance.
- Perform tier-2 management and administration of systems alerts through monitoring platforms and regular profile updates of all server/systems technology in asset management. Ensure all endpoints are accounted and services are monitored properly.
- Perform escalations to Systems Administrator for unresolved issues and required next level troubleshooting.
- Adhere to company guidelines and procedures.
Your qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience as a systems administrator.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French (bilingual).
- Results-oriented, solution-oriented, deadline-driven, proactive and able to multi-task.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in rotation.
- Ability to lead major projects and initiatives.
- Moderate to high proficiency in the following technical skills:
- Technical solutions and troubleshooting

- Ability to deal effectively, confidentially and professionally in a fast-paced business environment.
Educational qualifications:
- Computer engineer, science degree/diploma and above.
- MCSA / MCSE.
