On Valentine’s Day, a lovely 75-to-80-year-old woman wished me a very happy Valentine’s Day and asked me if I had a boyfriend to take good care of me.

Since we serve all of Canada, I get to learn a lot about the geography.

People sometimes call about the death of a loved one, which makes the human contact very delicate.

Public transit (metro and bus).

The mix of cultures and age groups. And the work atmosphere, of course.
Why do you think VOXDATA provides the best service?
The organization made its first foray into the market in 1995 and has been growing fast ever since. The combination of the company’s experience, youth, energy, credibility, and reputation is also a testament to our success. We have clients who have been with us for a long long time.
And what is the hardest part of your job?
When I first started, the hardest thing was managing the unexpected. Ironically, that’s now one of my strong points.
What was your favourite trip?
Italy.
Dream destination?
Spain, particularly Barcelona.
Are you sports fan? What’s your favourite team?
I love hockey and am a Canadiens fan!

Hardy is a dispatcher for one of our clients in the energy sector. He’s been at it for two and a half years now.
What do you like about VOXDATA?
My coworkers are very sociable, and I feel really comfortable here.

We have a good team, people get along well, and we’re all very professional. The work environment is such that we don’t feel a lot of pressure, which, in my opinion, helps boost our performance.
What do you like most about the people you deal with on the phone?
Clearly hearing the satisfaction in their voice.
Favourite dish?
I am particularly fond of dishes from my home country of Haiti.
What was your favourite trip?
We recently went on a wonderful cruise. We visited destinations like Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and the Virgin Islands.

St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.

Group leader
Isabelle began as a team leader when she arrived three years ago, but now acts as a group leader.
What do you like about VOXDATA?
The call centre is gorgeous. We have such a nice work atmosphere. Very high tech! Personally, I enjoy the challenges, and there’s such variety that there’s no room for a routine.
Why do you think VOXDATA provides the best service?
Because we set objectives and transform them into concrete achievements.
What do you do for fun?
Biking, dancing of all kinds (salsa, samba, etc.). Next, I want to try Capoeira (a combination of dance and martial arts from Brazil).
Favourite dish?
Nothing in particular. I eat absolutely everything! I recently tried a lobster poutine and really enjoyed it.
What was your favourite trip?
Going to the Bahamas with a bunch of my girlfriends (there were 14 of us!). I won’t say any more. What happens on vacation, stays on vacation!
Dream destination?
Venice, China, and Australia.

I try to talk to customers the same way I would like people to speak to me.
And what is the hardest part of your job?
It can get a bit repetitive, but every customer is unique.
Best book you’ve read in the last year?
The biography of Jacques Demers. It makes you want to live life to the fullest. Very inspiring!
Favourite restaurant?
It’s a little restaurant in Outrement called Café Souvenir. I like it because it has a friendly atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.
What was your favourite trip?
Paris. I would love to live there! I’ve also traveled all over Canada and the United States, and even taken a cruise on the Bluenose, the famous schooner.
